Tires and Wheels

With the FJ Built up the stock tires and wheels just look wimpy. I decided to give my old tires and wheels a try with out re gearing the Toyota FJ Cruiser.

The wheels are Mickey Thompson Sidebiter mounted with 295/70-17 Hankook Dynapro AT tires. The tires add another 1″+ to the lift and provide a better tire patch when off road.

The wheel and tires complete the look of our new FJ Cruiser.

  1. They look great! Have you noticed any difference in mileage or performance with the new tires and wheels without the diff regears?

  2. Serious trail runners will have steel wheels. Stronger then alloy, a little heaver then alloy, but a whole lot cheaper to replace if damaged.
