Our New FJ60 Landcruiser
I just purchased a Landcruiser FJ60 for $1200.00. This new FJ60 is a project vehicle that LJ and I will be building up as her first car. She is 13 (about 14) so we have 2 years to get it ready for her. The first order of business will be replacing the blown engine. Look for lots of blog posts about this FJ build.
That’s a sweet 60…I’m kind of in the slow mode of finding one. Am looking forward to hearing about your build.

How FUN!. LJ is gonna be so much cooler than some rich kid with brand new BMW. Especially when people find out she helped restore it. By the way, my 9 year old son already knows that the FJ I’m driving now, will most likely be his 1st car. We talk often of the upgrades we’ll do before I pass the keys. Whenever I’m in conversation with someone and use the phrase ‘my Fj’, Trace (my son) will correct me and say, “our Fj Dad”.
Perfect. My 60 got me through everything and then some…Numerous trips from IL to ME., ME to FL., and ME to CO. What a great project to do with your daughter, I look forward to following.
I am in the process of either re-building my 87 FJ60 engine or replacing it with a Chevy V8. What did you do? Suggestions?
