A Swell Trip
As part of the 2011 Cruise Moab there we two overnight runs. One along the Kokopelli and the second to the San Rafael Swell. When I registered for CM 2011 I was placed on the waiting list for the Swell overnight run. Two days before the start of the event I received a call that a spot had opened up on the run.
The Swell overnight is sponsored by Wasatch Cruisers and they put on quite an event. I arrived Tuesday evening and located the camp nestled in the beautiful golden sandstone. I was welcomed by a number of hosts.
On Wednesday morning we were lead out on a great run through Eagle Canyon with a number of stops at old mine sites. This a cool area with a mix of cool canyons, formation and historic sites.
The Wasatch Cruisers hosted us with home brewed beer and a great meal of pulled pork. What a wonderful evening with like minded folks.
