Redline Lower Link Skids

Living in Colorado Springs it’s not often that my Toyota FJ Cruiser gets used to develop a new product. However, I have been working with Redline Landcruisers this summer doing electrical wiring in some of their custom builds. Redline has been wanted to move into the FJC market with more products so prior to to FJ Summit they used my FJC to develop one killer lower link mount skid.

As many know, the lower link mount MUST be covered with a skid to prevent its annihilation if one is going to be encountering any rocks. This skid is built out of 1/4 inch steel to be able to take one heck of a beating. The design allows a rock to make an easy transition from the frame rail to the skid, then to the lower link. Unlike many of the skids out there, with this smooth transition the skid will help prevent the FJC’s mount from getting stuck against a rock. (don’t forget to add heavy duty lower links)

Don’t get me wrong, these skids are not light. If you do not plan on playing in or on the rocks then a more minimal skid is all you should need. With the prototype complete Redline is ready to start taking orders.
